hmmm i killed off R&G and have the agents rev and traders courier completed but not the traders rev..
will i still get the assaisin after lareth and will i still get the thug? can i console up r and G .. so they are present for me to sell lareths boots to will that work?

 

About the first, I do not think so and as for the second, no idea. I doubt it, as they are not items, but actual people. Maybe someone with better modding/consoling skills might be able to give a more enlightened information.

 

well i found that i can technically console R&G back to life and they will buy the boots from me not sure if that will have any effect on assasin or thugs..later in game


i wonder any chance you know of the IDs for assasin and thugs or at least which ones show up...
who come a calling in nulb? figure i could always create em in and get the fight experience..

When did you kill R&G. If they are dead no further dealings are possible. You can create any npc with the console. Click on the #0(far left) player and bring up the console and type create xxxxx. the number from descrption.mes. The Assassin is 14303 for example. Be prepared to fight when he shows up. If one them escapsed then you get the Target of Revenge rep and the thugs come after you.
I tried selling the boots 3 times, once to Gremag and twice to Rannos and no Assassin.
Of course this is major console cheating but do what you have to when the game doesn' co-operate.

Something totally not new to anyone, but for the first time going to the AOH I had a cleric with the Sun Domain. I have to say that the Greater Turning really kicks butt with those hordes of creepies from the graveyard. Helps to narrow down your foes as well as clear some pathways to those damned wizzers that like to hide in the back.

 

oh yeah i love my sun domain cleric espcialy the narrow down part use him and then the things that live are the ones worth my time to fight...

 

I hear ya. Plus your battle tank can use cleave to get at the wounded buggers.

 

Had an encounter with the infamous three sided battle. Ettin with 6 hobbos show up and the hobbos all go after the Ettin while ignoring me. The ettin took out four of the suicidal idiots when they charged at him, leaving me to pick off the other two with my slinger specialist and my chopper rogue got in a nice sneak to clean the clock on the two headed dummy.

 

I had that random encounter at 2nd level. It was quite interesting, but after three of my guys died I decided to repload.

 

Yeouch, that is a mean roll of the random encounter dice. My own guys were about 7th. With at least a 3rd level party and a mage with THL, you may have a chance, but 2nd, just nasty.

 

Something else I had known but never really played with much before this current game is the nice 5 foot step when you are doing a full attack. You can even break up the attack routine and attack once, step, and attack again, so your fighters with Cleave and Great Cleave can take out more of those wounded villains trying kill your party. So anyone who did not know, you now have something to grow on. (This ends your public service announcement-we now return you to your reading)

 

Just starting into the Moathouse Respawn and had the chance to recall that a priest with greater turning can take out Bodaks along with other undead. That will come in handy when I make it to the Nodes.

it does wonders in breaking up the groaning spirit bodaks traps.. ist turn cleric steps up and greater improved turns.. which takes out the groanng and bodaks and leaves me to deal with the things left..without being feared and hacked at by the bodaks..*btw taking improved turn for a sun cleric with greater turning seemed like a good idea in case they stack...*anyone know for sure if they do??(the effective lvl increase bonus on top of the Destroy instead of turn is a cool combo...
also fun fact your monk can take unarmed combat as a weap focus* it probably shoudnt apply since a monks very advancment table reflects a hyprt focus in unarmed... but it does.. currently and so why not..

 

I believe that improved turning will stack and help to get some more undead when you use your greater turning.

Fun fact if your willing to lose some monk levels, you can get 4 levels of fighter to do weapon specializing with your fists and plus a monk's belt can assist with your damage. Also the level of fighter can aid the flurry of fists number of attacks.

 

Trying my discovery that you can save the swamp lotus to trade with Mother instead of saving Ami right away, I did my bargain with Mother. Got the potions and then slaved the Zuggy wanna be. Then I went back to Hommlet and, after saving just in case, passed the time to see if that quest would ever get botched. After more than 3 years game time the little brat was still alive, almost taunting you with her "illness".

So word to the wise, once you get the swamp lotus you can save Ami at any time it seems.
