Here is a suggestion for dealing with the low hit points of the witch ... don't hit her with spells. :D

I didn't see any of the Drow attack her so if you just adjust your area of effect spells so they don't slam her, you should be alright. I have killed them at least five times and the Drow have always focused their attention on my party (trying to figure out what the deal was with her running off and not selling me stuff).

How do you adjust the area of effect of your spells?

I think the concerns about the witch actually refer to the other witch - the one in the dungeon.

Look closely at the characters inside the yellow circle of the spell effect and move the casting location until only the ones you want to hit have a red circle around their feet.

Oh, so you cannot make the fireball area of effect smaller if you desire. I thought you meant you could.

hmm I just had the empty bugbear rooms experience.. yes i had killed off all the bug bears when doing the moathouse...

    im using 5.9.2

so anyways i went on killed the bad witch and rescued the good witch..
so she offers me the ring for drow stuff deal

BUT the drow stuff was really minor stuff..
I mean no drow armour or capes etc some boots and weapons but am i to assume these guys were basically naked??
.....certainly nothing close to the 20k the witch wants...

Not sure about the armour, but vis-a-vis the empty bug-bear room, did you miss the fellas behind the doors? If they are still there, the undead won't appear there.

the ring of ressonance still seems t only work for wizards
which is fine but my sorcerer is kinda left in the wind on that one.

There was a fix but not sure if it went through. It is set up only for wizards, yes, but bards and sorcererers should get the benefit too. Sounds like it might still be broken.

    Still broken for sure.

Ted, you may recall I had a go at it and 'fixed' the scripting to include sorcerers and bards, only it still didn't work.

Afaik, the drow have always been scripted to ditch most of their inventory when they die, because they have a bunch of stuff like 'drow masks,' etc. that make them look like drow. This should be nothing new. Giants and gnolls and things like that have inventory that is not lootable, so this is not unprecedented.

    Gaear,

Regarding the drow, I believe the problem is that they have no armor on themselves anymore. Drow masks being removed is understandable but I remember these drow having armor, elven boots, and elven cloaks previously. That is why I was confused.

Re drow stuff what ranth said is what i truly meant

drow mask etc being gone totally understandable but .. drow fighters and a drow leader without some type of armour or serious protection item ...really???
